602. WE-Heraeus-Seminar: Microwaves Go Quantum
602. WE-Heraeus-Seminar
Date: |
16.-20. November 2015 Arrival Monday, November 16th until dinner Departure Friday, November 20th after lunch |
Location: | Physikzentrum Bad Honnef |
Fee: | The conference and accommodation for all participants are generously covered by the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung |
Scope
The main objective of this seminar is to promote the exchange between the various branches of microwave-based quantum information such as nuclear magnetic resonance, trapped ions, ultracold atoms, cavity QED, Circuits QED, colour centers et cetera. Different aspects of microwave-based quantum information are discussed such as: the numerous possibilities in the field of quantum simulation which microwave-based experiments offer, techniques to suppress decoherence, or state transfer between optical and microwave-based systems. To promote exchanges between the various groups, there will be introductory lectures about the different quantum systems before the invited speakers immerge with their lectures deeper into the matter and present the latest developments in the field of microwave-based quantum information.
Program
Venue
